I have a question about this connector. One of the black wires went to the coil and the other went to the distributor. I'm not sure where the green wire went, or what the connector was plugged into. I cut the black wires and spliced them together. The connector was never plugged into anything, just sitting loose.
I'm just curious what it should go to. And if this may be part of a intermittent missing at idle.
TIA

The second set of points were removed before I bought the car. I've owned the car for 10 years and drive it often. I don't see any advance relay, and from the wiring diagram that is what the connector is for. no vacuum switch either Would it be a huge bennifit to re-install the second set of points and find a relay and vacuum switch? The car has a slight miss at idle, but on WOT pushes you back in the seat and is generally a hoot to drive. I've never had any major problems other than the head cracking from one end to the other..... but that's another story.
