Most shops use a contact cement they spray on using a spray pot, since you are just doing a single job , 3M yellow or black trim adhesive works well and resists the heat.( available at NAPA,Advance etc. You can squeeze it right from the tube, the secret is to run long lines of the adhesive the length of the mat at regular intervals ,4- 6 inches.use a cleaning solvent to clean the hood area where the mat will go,carefully put in place, then pul it away so it leaves a stringy residue on both the hood and back of the mat, wait about ten minutes and then push the mat in place and it will stay there. What adhesive is recommended for the Giulietta Spider underhood mat?
Phillip, go to this site, Beacon Fabric & NotionsCan I just ask in what sort of shop to buy the foam that is on the inside of the mat ? It is completely deteriorated on the one from our 64 Spider and I'm looking to replace it. The original stitched mat is still in ok condition so I'd like to re-use it.
