I am preparing to swap a Nord oil pan onto a TS block. On the right side of the timing cover, the TS has a threaded hole for a bolt coming up through the pan, as shown in the photo. On the Nord pans, there is a blind, threaded hole at this location. The shape of the timing cover is such that I do not think I could fit a bolt down through the hole, even if I drilled out the threads on the timing cover. What method do people use to attach the pan here?

I took off the two studs and prolonged theyr hole till i got it passing through (6,5 mm)

Than I used a 12 mm drill bit turned to 6 mm in the top part to be used as a guide, and obtained a small flat surface to use a normal 6 mm allen screw. Hope not to mis-remember the sizes, just check first.

The room is a little tight, but if you work carefully is not difficult.
