I see where the switch is located in the GTV trunk, where is the light mounted? Mine apparently should have the light and switch, but I don't. Thanks. '71 USA GTV 1750 I assume it would be the same as GTV 2000s

The light is mounted under the rear window parcel panel, along its centerline, about half a foot from the trunk opening.
Perhaps my car did not have the trunk light. I see no prior holes where you suggest it would have been mounted? Not sure what the two dark dots are just beyond the spring rods, but they are not holes.

I'm thinking my car did not have the trunk light. No wires anywhere to be found and it doesn't look from my pictures like a welded mounting bracket broke away from my rear shelf where you show yours mounted. It'd be easy enough to install a non-original one. The ground switch and bulb housing see NLA.

It seems it was a new feature in 1971, according to my 1971 sales brochure, like rear window defog and handbrake warning light. Were any of yours '71s? I have the 1750 schematic, but it doesn't show the trunk light or other electrical items I have that I find on the 2000 schematic...rear window defog, key buzzer (I think), Spica electrical, handbrake warning and other items. Maybe I don't have a1750 schematic as new as my 1971.

Makes sense, came in '71. My car is a transitional model, some of 1750, some of 2000
