my 1750 has a knocking noise in it somewhere near the front. Hope its just the chain; anyway, it also isnt timed right or something so it's hard to keep it running. My question is, should I worry about glazing the cylinders or something by ideling it while trying to find the problems? I tried to take it for a drive and I actually moved it forward a few feet under its own power! Then the clutch got soft or something and the rear brake(s) locked up. thanks

yep indeed it was the hose clamp. My cam cover also has a new gouge in the top from the top of the cam chain. It isnt loose and I can deflect it maybe a half inch total. Anybody seen that before?

thanks for the encouragement Rich. It seems to be missing a cylinder. I think its ignition related now.
