What causes a transaxle rattle @ cold idle? It sounds fine once warmed up and doesn't have any shifting problems or anything.

Fluid level is correct as well.

Mine does this at idle sometimes. I've noticed that pushing in the clutch quiets it down. Haven't been annoyed enough yet to track it down.

It is probably the release lever and thrust bearing assembly rattling. They tend to do that when idling slowly which could be why it goes away when the car is warmed up. Try speeding the idle up to about 1,000 RPM. To find out how to do that check Step 11 on our good friend Greg Gordon's website here:

My idle is already above 1000 as I've got some aggressive street cams in that that won't idle below that.
