The shifter in the background is also of the same vintage as mcola states.

I wouldnt go on just the shifter, but its another clue.

There is an identification mark, you can see it here, bottom left.

I don't have it in my hot little hands yet. Bought it based on the pics as that was all seller knew. Didn't think to ask for ID number. Other pics are here. I'll be loading it in my truck this week. Guts are supposed to be good so I should have a lot of parts for fixing my '84 trans which has a totally shot second gear synchro (at least). Assuming I bought the right trans...:surprise:

That second picture confirms it. That is a flywheel sensor port about the slave, and there will be another port, further down on the bellhousing.
