I'm selling my 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider – Veloce (A/C, Leather, Power Windows/Mirrors) with 134,000 kms. The car is in excellent condition with, no rust, a new top, and approx. $8K spent on it (mechanically) over the past 4 years to make sure that it continues to drive well.
As a bit of background, I’ve had the car since the fall of 2005. It’s been garage kept every winter (under cover) and has rarely seen rain since I’ve had it. I also know that the previous owner was pretty meticulous with it and had shown it at car shows in the Windsor / Detroit area. I had the car evaluated in 2006 by an antique automobile appraisal company and it had an appraised value (before I had most of the mechanical work completed) of $11,500
Below is a list of the work that has been done to the Spider by a Toronto area professional Italian automotive specialist:
- Lower Ball Joints
- Right Engine Mount (Left Mount replaced by previous owner)
- Exhaust Manifold Gaskets
- Cylinder Head
- Water Pump
- Engine Pulley
- Valve Seals / Guides
- Exhaust Camshaft
- Trailing Arms Bushings
- Battery
- Rear Brakes
- Master Clutch Cylinder
I can’t over emphasize the condition of my Spider. It’s in terrific shape.
