Jim, I bet that 13mm socket is a thin-wall... I got one also, might even be a Snap On, as far as I know. That's what I use it for, too. The only place I need it is the driveshaft flanges. My 3/8" wobble extension has saved my bacon more times than I can count.
No. Its just the standard 6 point chrome 3/8 socket. But Snap On socket walls tend to be thinner then other brands.

Also a 24” long 3/8 extension with the locking end and a 13mm deep and 16mm shallow impact universal sockets. With those and a 3/8 impact you can get every bell housing bolt undone including the starter bolts from underneath the car.

One of the trans removal threads l posted pictures of all the tools to pull the trans out in an hour or less.

I talked to Stewart Sandeman a few years ago -- he said his record on pulling a 105/115 trans was........ 24 minutes!

I wish I had a lift. Oh how I wish!!!

Mine was around 27 minutes or so. Back when I was in my early 20's.

Goats, take it from me. Get a lift man, if your garage ceiling will accommodate it. In our previous house, I had almost a 10 foot ceiling height, and it was just enough to get either Spider or GTV 6 up high enough to work under it.
Like Nike says... just do it. You will think you've gone to Alfa heaven, and I ain't talking about the one in Wisconsin, either! 😁
Back in 2009, when we bought out previous house, I made up my mind to get a lift that would work in my garage, and I never regretted it. Neither did my back or shoulders. I was getting old enough to hate my creeper, frankly. The house we have now, our retirement house, is smaller in area but has a very nice deep garage, and a ceiling height of 10'-10" to 11 feet. Hell, I can raise the cars up to max height, and now stand up straight under them and work away. A pleasure! And because it's so easy to use, you enjoy keeping up the Alfa maintenance better, also.

Get a lift, guys, if you have the ceiling height. You'll enjoy it more and more every year. You'll spend probably $1900 to $2300, and you can get an ALI certified lift for that, 6000 to 8000 lb. capacity. It cost me $650 to get mine set up by pros, back in 2009.

I have the height but not the depth with the door open. But, I’ve been wanting the QuickJack. Still have to use a creeper but won’t have my nose scrapping the underside. :)

All the above.

Retractable extension cord.

Work light in plastic housing attached to above.

Pig Mat ultra absorbent disposable spill mat.

Selfie stick to take pictures of deeply recessed trouble areas.

Wheel dollies that let me push the car into a cozy niche of the garage when I need more space.

Meguiar’s Ultimate Quick Detailer to remove your greasy finger prints.

I understand your predicament with the garage door. I had the overhead door tech actually relocate my tracks a bit higher to clear the trunk lid of the Spider on the lift. The result was the door did not open completely but it did open up to about 6 ft 6 which was adequate for us.

Dave, my ceiling wont — there’s bedrooms over the garage and the ceiling is 8 feet, I wasn’t smart enough to buy a house with an accommodating garage!!

When I am done she just pulls on my cuffs.
At first, I read “When I am done she just pulls OFF my cuffs.” An entirely different picture comes to mind! :ROFLMAO:

There are so many ways to interpret that.
