On February the 5th 1990 I (then 18 years old) bought my first own car. A green Giulia 1300 Super. At that time I did not know that I would love and own it still today. We survived a restauration, engine transplant (1750), many Hollidays (Luxemburg, France, UK, Germany including Nürburgring, many Alpine passes in Switserland and Italy) and als many pleasant normal Km's.

How it started::

This picture was made exactly 25 years ago today:

After completing the restauration (LOW! I was a bit younger then ;-) )

Eames museum Weil am Rhein

Driveshaft bearing repair at the Alfa dealer in Merano (I)

Hillclimb (race on Sunday..)

Our tent became bigger over the years but our transport stayed the same

Wedding car

SSAR Zandvoort racetrack

Some fresh air but never going out in the snow.

Our daughters enjoy the Giulia also

December 2014, Spent her new shoes for the party

Hope for 50 years more together

Congratlations! ...Great story.

I bought my Super when I was 17 about 6 months before I got my drivers license.

Hope you have many more years together!

Cheers.

Last Spring when I started my 82 Spider, I realized it was it's 30th year that I've owned her. My first ALFA.She never let me down. It's a great feeling with so many memories. Cool post!

I love the posting and the car has obviously been a great friend. I sure wish I had my first car (Fiat 128 4-door).

What is the significance of the flowers on the windshield wipers? I have seen it before so it must mean something.

In our case very simple. The picture was taken on our wedding day 0:)

Perhaps the stand out thing about this is that the car has been used and looked after, not treated as a garage queen or put on some sort of pedestal. Well done!!
