I'm replacing the water pump in my 1993 164L. When I removed the timing belt tensioner (replacement mechanical spring type) the top stud came out of the block. It is a stepped stud, 10mm into block and 8mm outside.

When I reinstall it into the block should I use Loctite? If yes, what color?

Also, should I use any Loctite on the two nuts that hold the tensioner?

Use blue loctite on stud threads going into block.

Use correct bevel washers under nuts (no loctite) is my motto.
