This is just too good not to post it here and I am sure it will have every Alfista drooling ( a few others as well.) You will need to post the link below but it is worth it.

A New York man retired. He wanted to use his retirement money wisely, so it would last, and decided to buy a home and a few acres in Portugal.

The modest farmhouse had been vacant for 15 yrs.; the owner and wife both had died, and there were no heirs.

The house was sold to pay taxes.

There had been several lookers, but the large barn had steel doors, and they had been welded shut. Nobody wanted to go to the extra expense to see what was in the barn, and it wasn't complimentary to the property anyway......so, nobody made an offer on the place.

The NY guy bought it at just over half of the property's worth, moved in, and set about to tear in to the barn.......curiosity was killing him.

So, he and his wife bought a generator, and a couple of grinders.......and cut thru the welds.

What was in the barn...............?

Post this link;

and start wishing it you had bought the place.

I was about to say "go easy on the guy, his first post as an Alfa newbie, " but he has been a bb'er since Dec '06.

5th time in the last few years?? this is the 5th time just in a couple months. heh.

Im just going to keep posting what I posted in a thread on the same subject.. since it was said as a joke but almost needs to be done to stop the madness.. :p

I think the mod should have a sticky titled, "Barn Find...yea the same one." and anyone who wants to make a new post on this "find" will just have it moved there? :p

Thats the thing, who doesn't love barn finds? you cant help but look in the thread...oh dear, not the same one again. haha.
Just searching "Barn Find" turns up this on the same subject, just on the first page.. That's within a month.

The Ultimate Barn Car

You must start a new thread every week and let everyone know :)
Did anyone notice the thread "new" this week that this barn find is listed on "SNOPES" as not totally legitimate? While the barn and cars do exist in Portugal, many of the facts are not accurate and there has been some literary license employed. It is an interesting read about a car collector who decided to have his collection appraised and the story that was woven around it. The story was investigated by, I believe, SMC, if I recall correctly. It is not nearly as outrageous as some of the other "SNOPES" chain letter Internet hoaxes that are totally false, but nonetheless, it has made their site and hit the radar.

As you can see, I can't read either; ;) as I was scanning the posts on the thread after I had posted this; I note that topstick posted the "SNOPES" link for everyone. That will teach me not to multi-task; talking on Skype and posting at the same time, while I'm thinking about 10 trillion other things that need to be done today, that won't have a dent made in them.

I hope this "newbie" takes our humor over this with a grain of salt and is not offended.

Soryy to post the same old story. I did my own snoopping after posting and also found the story was bogus but what the hell the cars are real. The story was not important to me. I had never heard of half the Alfa's pictured. I love the white one with the mustache grill!
