Come and listen to a story 'bout a man named Jer,
just a poor Alfista artist, but he sure did like his beer.
And then one day, while he was drawing something rude,
Right through his door came this funny old dude!
Man that is...**** sapiens! Male human!
Well the first thing you know, old Jer gave him the stare,
then the old dude said: "Get the heck away from here!"
He said "Portland Oregon's the place you've gotta be!"
So he loaded up the Giulia with a bunch of art and sweet Nancy!
The woman that is...the lady! the boss!

Which weekend is the convention taking place?
Pat, this isn't the official convention thread, so you should check the other thread related to the convention for official info. However, the dates are July 15-19. You can get more info from the Alfa Romeo Owners' of Oregon (AROO). Their website is: Alfa Romeo Owners of Oregon. They are a chapter of AROC USA.

Jerry, I just noticed that the raised arm in the mirror corresponds to the wrong one on "Dad"!!! Pretty neat picture nevertheless. :)
Patrick, nice to hear from you. I think that I was so excited to put my hero Ricardo Montalban in the sketch, all else was just an after thought.

Jerry, why did you name him Ricardo Montalban? I loved the actor's Chrysler commercials, where he touted the supple "Corinthian Leather" in a LeBaron, I think? Maybe it was something bigger. I had no idea what C. Leather was, as a young teenager, but thought that it might have been very good for my tush nevertheless.

Patrick, In the cartoon previous, Alfason and dad are outside the tattoo parlor
and I used the opportunity to place Tattoo outside holding the "open" sign. It seemed only natural in the next episode for Ricardo to be the tattoo artist, although he is dressed from "the wrath of Kahn" rather than Mr. Rorke.

I guess this is an example of how a warped mind works,

The eaiest way to get to the hotel is straight off the 5. It's just west of the 5 1/2 mile. To get to the coast it's about 10 min down the 5 (south) from the hotel, and out (west) an hour or so on Rte 26...

A friend of mine, Herb Browar, was actually the Associate producer of the Beverley Hillbillies. Herb passed away about 7 years ago, and donated his literature and models collection to the Peterson Museum in LA. Sadly, they never did anything with it (or many other donations, other than cars) and Herb's stuff has been sitting in storage :(
