Hi there,

I would like to share the adventures of a wreck that did not want to disappear.

Stored for years under the roof of a barn, the skeleton naked, this car awaited the passage of the scrap metal.
What remained of the parts, crushed, deformed, modified, for years, were scattered around, in an incomprehensible mess.

As I am rather sensitive to the fate of heritage, when I heard about an impossible rescue involving forgotten remains, I rushed to go and see.

I could only distinguish a shape, which I quickly recognized and clusters of parts, not always identifiable.
I convinced the owner of the barn that the future of the "thing" was more secure in my hands than in those of the metal trader.

A couple of parts and pieces of metal later...
Welcome into my world.

Chris,,

Today's massacre is next year's masterpiece ;)

Besides, you can't swing a dead cat in Pescara w/o hitting a restoration shop like Classic Restore? It seems they do great work, but I bet they love the coin of the realm!

Chris I see a bare bones frame of a LWB Spider there... & the pic of the double scoop hints that it was once a Veloce.... do I hear the sounds of an aluminium SVZ evocation in the making ??

He may be referring to the deviated scoop on the DS, just below the head lamp/light bowl.

But, he'll clear this up in short order ;)

No evocation here, just back to original car.

After a list of work to do, we arrived at :

  • new wings
  • new floors
  • new rockers
  • new doors
  • new hood
  • new trunk
  • new wheel arches
  • new seats
  • new chromes
  • new fuel tank
  • new wiring loom
  • ton of new parts
  • and the rest...

:) maybe better find new car ?

Here is what WILL happen. Over time, enough similar colossal wrecks will appear, gathering around this one. Eventually all will donate their remaining life to a single candidate, who will then mysteriously rise from the ashes as a complete concourse Spider Veloce. I've seen it before, and it makes me HAPPY. Cost is seldom the deciding factor. Usually serious resolve and a caring hand.
Just my opinion as usual.

Yup the little pipe just poking up from the top of the air collector is a Veloce only item.

Be interesting to watch this one come back to life
