The “other” My first Alfa Romeo ever!

My ‘71 1300 Super landed yesterday in Oregon from Florida. The delivery driver loaded it up pretty badly trying to start it to get it off the truck but a spirited drive around our backroads nearby cleared things up nicely and starting wasn’t an issue since. My first impression is how simple yet sophisticated this sedan is. The suspension is tight yet compliant...the brakes are strong and perform like a more modern car. The body feels stiff and the doors shut with the satisfying ”clunk” that’s reminiscent of an old Mercedes I used to have from the same era. The transmission is soooo good. The switch gear took a bit of orientation but fortunately everything works as it should and the little motor with GTA style headers and ported/polished intake performed nicely with the stock Dellortos. A set of Webers came with car as well so may give them a go at some point. The previous owner had done a complete suspension and brake upgrade a few thousand miles ago so I’m sure this contributed to it’s terrific performance. I took my wife into the city for a medical appointment and she was all smiles, really enjoying all the attention the car got.
So in “just one word” ...fun!

Great but you might want to correct by editing, while you can, the spelling in your title. It's ALFA not ALPHA. I know fault of the spell checker.

Nice Giulia though.

Fixed it for him. Reading that was sort of a "fingernails grating on the blackboard" experience.
