Gday steve mate,
thank you for putting up your awesome
postings.
I am replacing my steering rack at the moment in my 164 { right hand drive}
I've discerned the inside column and the tie rod ends was a easy {with a big
hammer}.
So I've just removed the sub frame bolts and the motor and the motor has tipped back
also removed the two 13mm nuts of the grad [fender] and removed the grad
I have found it pretty straightforward using a 60cm or 2ft extension bar to reach down behind the motor with 13mm socket
The bolts on the rack, what size are the bolt heads under the two 13mm nuts
please could you let me know. ta

cheers mate :thumbup:

The bolt heads on the four bolts that hold the rack clamps to sub frame are 17mm.

of a thing on the r/h car it comes from the pump and then it daz a 180 and goes back to the right side of the car
so it off but the rack is still in the car
if I get time tomorrow I will get it out .
