Not my preference but I have more than several 'fittings' to make up the in and out connections on a new A/C condenser for my Alfetta GT. I want to make sure there is no leakage.

Perhaps I'm overthinking this but the female connections on the condenser are aluminum and the connections to it are of course steel - so wondering if the difference in the coefficient of 'expansion' might be a possible problem.

No tape required. The male/female flares form the connection seal. The threaded fittings simply hold the flares together and serve no sealing function.

Not needed but 1 - 2 wraps might make it easier to remove them years from now. I would use the yellow tape that is used for gas or propane lines.
