I recently purchased a 1978 Spider Voloce with a 1966 engine and found it had a new water pump with a blank cover for the nipple connection for the tach cable. Does anyone know where this nipple can be purchased? I am not having much luck.

I think you've posted in the wrong area. This area is for older cars, most using the "cast iron" 4 cylinder or aluminum 6 in-line engine.

Hi Marty, welcome to AlfaBB!

I agree with Don that you'll probably get much better responses posting this question in the Spider (1966-Up) forum.

Sorry. I did not realize this was for older cars although a 1966 engine is 45 years old. In the mean time it appears that in 1976 a mechanical Tach was used for about six months and then Electronic was used. I have an electronic unit with a mechanical Tachometer and will have to exchange the tach in the dash now.
Thanks for caring enough to let me know.
