Does any one know what cap goes in line on the tach wire for the 79 Alfetta GTV? They show one in the wiring diagram. I have switched over to the electric tach from the mechanical in my Fetta sedan. The tach tend to be a bit "jumpy"
I'm guessing that any small capacitor would work.
Any help would be welcome.

Thanks, Paul

Paul - I'm confused is the circuit board missing a capacitor, did it break off?

No, I believe there is a cap in line for the tach feed from the coil to the tach. I switched dashes in the Alfetta and went from a cable drive tach to the electric Sprint Veloce tach I had.

Hmmm...haven't the foggiest idea what an inline cap would look like, it's all spaghetti to me - but if you like I can try an take pictures of the wires in question if you can tell me the color/location??
