Interestingly a Norwegian, Eugen Bjørnstad, was competing those days in ice racing with his factory Alfa Romeo Monza, and had very good results, specially in 36-37. Getting a factory racecar was something not anybody achieved, but he did! here some info about those ice races!

1933 GRAND PRIX SEASON - 1933 Swedish Grand Prix (Sveriges Vinter Grand Prix), 1933 Svenska Isloppet, 1933 Tunis Grand Prix (Grand prix de Tunisie)

About the drivers:

At Bjørnstad s older days he became honorary member of the Norwegian Alfa Romeo Club and on gatherings we got some entertaining stories from his racing experiences from ice racing.

Very very cool (pun intended)… Doh! And I notice in the Petrolicious link of the 1933 race that Bjørnstad came in 2nd in the #30 car.

Looks like an Alfa Monza..
