Hello Friends:

I'm deep into freshing-up the rear suspension of my S4 by following Vintre's excellent tutorial. Here's my question:

The new bushings that connect the endlinks to the rear swaybar slip right on. No banging required at all to get them on. That is very different than the experiences I have read in the alfabb. For example, Vintre used a hammer and a heavy piece of metal to bang the endlink onto the end of swaybar.

I wonder, do I need to be concerned at all? Is there a safety issue here after I reinstall the sway bar. I can't imagine the endlinks would slip off the sway bar once everything is torqued down -- but I'm no engineer.

Thanks

Guy

I had the same issue with the bushings I bought being undersize. After much research I ended up using retaining compound (loctite green). Still holding strong about 6 years later.
