I am still debating with myself as whether or not to replace the worn out rubber parts in the front and back suspension. I have never done anything remotely this big and complicated. I fear that after getting it apart I'll not be able to get it back together. I have no specialized suspension tools, and feel that the manual is not detailed enough. But the expensive alternative is estimates between one and two thousand dollars for the repairs. Could this be a doable sucessful learning process or a big disaster?

I'm doing the front suspension right now. There are a few tools required to R&R the parts, like threaded rods ($3.33 from The Home Depot), a pickle fork and the usual assortment of sockets and hammers. I haven't tried to change any bushings yet, but that's next and will likely require the shop press, AFAIK. I think it is an easy project for a do-it-yourselfer if you're handy and can allow the car to be down for a while.
