My 94 164LS has sunroof water leaking problem from dome light and maybe more. I knew there are two sunroof drain hoses on 164, where should they drained out? Can I see the drain hose ends coming out behind the firewall?

The drain tubes drain into the area behind the false firewall. The driver side came out near the power steering reservoir. The passenger side is near (below) the recirculation stepper motor.

If it leaks from the center console, the sunroof (water catch) pan is overflowing and the leak is likely through the sunroof motor shaft or the front part of the pan. Take a look at my writeup at http://www.lexingtonma.net/users/BobC/sunroof.php. It leaked again last winter due to snow accumulation. I fixed it again by putting a rubber o-ring on the sunroof motor shaft.

Thank you bob! I will definitely check motor seal. I can't see if the hoses has come off from the pan or not, I think they shouldn't.

great info thanks mine did this to me for the first time the last rain we had we were driving and all of a sudden goted rained on. i am going to check mine as well
