I know this has been discussed before and is covered in John's excellant manuals but I wanted to explore some options for alternative sources for replacement of the main fuel pumps.

I know that many just purchase a Bosch L-Jet model but does anyone have specific part numbers? I'm concerned because the application charts show '82 and up and they might have too much PSI. Does anyone have the specific Bosch part# for the pump with the right PSI rating?

When browsing the web I found a Walbro model (GSL395) that seems to fit.

There are lots of sources for Walbro and they can be had for around $110. I think they are US made as well. Since these don't have an internal PRV I was thinking of using an older front filter with PRV.

Has anyone used one of these Walbros in their Alfa?

As long as the pump can output at least .5 gallons per minute free flow and at least 10-15 psi (with restrictor in the outlet of the injection pump), it's probably ok.
