My 1973 Spider 1600 acted up a little this morning. Nothing serious, but it looks like I'll have to chase some electric gremlins.
Symptoms are:
1. Alternator light on when running.
2. Oil pressure and fuel gauges are not working.
3. Parking brake light not working
Everything else is normal, the car runs good as ever. All was well last night, but I had my stereo out to install an iPod connector, and did not start it up until this morning. I might have dislodged a ground wire or something, but a quick check using a torch this morning did not reveal anything unusual. Fuses seem to be OK.
The spider 1600 jr. is something of a cross between the roundtail Duetto and 2000 S2. It has the dash and most of the electrics from S1, but a lot of S2 bits as well. I have not found a wiring diagram that fits 100%, and so far I have managed using a S1 Duetto 1600 diagram and a 74 S2 2000 Veloce diagram together.
Any hints would be appreciated!
