I need a straight chrome tip for my '84's stinger exhaust. The ebay tips rust out in no time.

Can anyone suggest something they know will hold up?

Not sure if they would fit but have a look at the BMW early 2002's exhaust tips, they stand up very well They have a nice rolled lip I can measure one when I get to my shop later today if you want

Thanks, Rick

Thanks for the replies. Classicalfa, polished stainless is a great suggestion; Rick, please do measure one of your BMW tips - do you know what they are made of? And Brad, i will measure my existing pipe & tip tomorrow.

Try a muffler shop. They should have something that not only looks good, but will last a long time. Stainless steel is a great idea, but a good chromed tip will last a long time too. As long as it's not a cheap, thin walled product.

I just noticed that you live in Laguna. The sea air may be tough on a steel part. Better use stainless steel.

The BMW 2002 ones are a touch under 1 7/8" ID and 3 3/4" long polished stainless steel Rogerstii or Pelican has them # 82-11-9-413-970
