Posted a while back but figured I'd do it again. Trying to find a specific car. This was a Red 1973 Alfa Romeo Spider.

The Spider was purchased in 1973 in Santa Barbara, California. The owner (my client) sold it within a few years after that and would like to find it again.
Here's the fun part, doesn't have any records or VIN number or anything that would help me. I spoke to the son of the person who owned the dealership in Santa Barbara but no records survived. CA DMV won't help. Pulled a database list of Alfas in the US and have called some owners to see if they might be the right person, but that's time consuming and responses haven't been great.

So looking for (A) Anyone who may have purchased this car back in the 70s from a foreign national student in Santa Barbara (Goleta) or (B) any new ideas on how to go about this search.

what was the CA license plate number? You can look it up in the smog database

Was it every autocrossed / solo raced? Glovebox full of stickers and plaques from that? If so - I have it :)

Well you've come to the right place, if you don't find it here forget it.

Good luck
