Hi all, I'm planning on replacing the outdated "cassette"??? player on my 86 Veloce with something a little more 21st century. I want something that can have a iPhone/iPod attached and also bluetooth for handsfree phone calls (The car deserves both hands on...am I wrong?) I also plan on upgrading the speakers as they sound....tired.

I was wondering if any of you fine people have done such a thing and whether you had any advice on this topic. Any suggestions for good stereos and speakers would be super beneficial as well. An audiophile, I am not.

Thanks.

Have you seen and searched the Audio and Audio Electrical subsection of the forum?

All sorts of stuff down there including how to do i-pods, mp3 players, hidden systems, speakers, new stuff that looks old, old stuff rebuilt with new guts, etc., etc.

I took my Radiomobile LW MW Pushbutton job & ripped out the insides. Then I placed 2 x 40W solid state amps & a fly lead to my Creative Zen which sits below the handbrake.
I now have radio, Mp3, & video with a period look to the fascia.
All for the measly sum of £30.00
Beat that
