I'm looking at a 86 Q4 spider to buy. Steering wheel vibrates at between 15-30mph goes away at 45+. Any thoughts? Wheel balance? front end? This will be my first Alfa. looking for advice

Steering wheel vibration at such low speed would have me suspect a bent wheel(s). Or some obvious front end stuff. Ball joints are common things to replace at 70K. It is also possible that this could be a sign of a bad Giubo (flexdisc). Bent wheel can mean a lot of other stuff also, alignment and front end stuff bent...

If the car is rust free and drives good, buy it!!! You would probly have to do front end stuff at this age anyway.....bushings motor mounts...trans support, driveshaft...etc., etc.,
