The left and right steering rods have a different locking mechanism than the center one. The outer ones use brackets with a bolt and a nut, whereas the center one has 2 nuts.

Is this correct for a 1963 giulia spider?

My 56 750 Berlina had big locknuts, no clamps. My 58 750 Normale has like you show, locknuts in the middle, clamps on the outside.
I bet by now many have been changed based on what was at hand. Early 750s had "female" ends but I believe all later cars have "male" threaded ends. Functionally it shouldn't matter as long as everything fits.

Hi Rafael, you must have figured out by now. I had the exact same setup as yours when I got my '65 Giulia Spider. I did not find the brackets as efficient as simple nuts and have replaced them.

belitalia,

My 64 Giulia Spider has the clamps on the side links, but I never thought of replacing them with locknuts. Any photos of you changes?

Thanks,

Ray
