Anyone know where i can locate a Burman steering box for a
'74 GTV. The steering shaft is connected with a U-joint. Not like a steering box on a spider.

I believe that the steering boxes on the Spider/GTV/Berlina are the same. At least from 72-74. They are either Burman or they are ZF. I know that you can get rebuilt ones from:

www.highwoodalfa.com and probably from some other sources as well.

The steering boxes are interchangeable , some are Burman some are ZF.With the 74 I believe they came with the u-joint as a safety precaution in case of an accident so if you had a front collision the shaft would not impale you.The spider's box would also fit it just would not have the u-joint.
