Question is qhat has changed or what can change. 2 slave cyls and stiil the same? Adjust the master cylinder rod to level the clutch pedal to the brake pedal is about the only change assuming that everything else is ok. Having to make a longer slave cyl rod is still.trying to hide the underlying problem of possibly having a worn clutch. Just aome thoughts hope all works out well. Good luck

Success!

I adjusted the rod on the master cylinder push rod (effect of lengthening the rod). This resulted in the pedal moving away from the floor/firewall both at rest and at the point when the clutch disengaged, which changed the geometry of the movement. Since this resulted in the engagement point changing to a point in the travel where the pedal is closer to vertical, it is much, much easier to control.

Feels almost exactly like my '69 GTV now!
