This is not a backup or reversing light for a roundtail Spider. If it was, it would have a single wire and two screws. This is more than likely for a Junior Z. It might even fit some Ferraris.

They are two screws and testet on my 67 Duetto ( now sold)
have the part for over 20 years

I am sorry, that is not a back up light. It is a parking light/blinker for another car. The bulb has two filaments and there are two wires.

The two pictures below are of a backup light that is mounted to my roundtail. Notice the two screws and the drain hole.

Early GTV (69?) used this style for signal/parking lamps. That might explain the two wires.

Those also require screws and have a drain hole like the backup light as they are hung on the underside of the bumper.

It looks like it is for a Junior Z or other cars where the light was mounted with the chrome side up.

Hi all,

This is what I know from the catalogs:

Prefix 11 is for a front bi-polar light: two wires: for parking & direction light, white lens with prefix 11 !, fitting 2000 & 2600 Sprint .
According to Carello, it was also on the 2600 Spider, but this is not in the Alfa 2600 catalog. I thought that those Spiders used the different shaped Altissimo version of that front light.

Prefix 16 is for a front mono-polar light: one wire : direction light, orange lens, fitting 2000 & 2600 Sprint for the German and UK market.
In this case, the parking light was in the headlight.

Prefix 18 is for the reverse light: mono-polar with a white lens that had prefix 18 ! ( compare the different white lenses on post # 2 and post # 4)

Exception on the prefix: the black plastic plate and the nuts had always the prefix 11 for both the front and the rear.

I have no documents on the Junior Zagato, sorry.

What do you see in the socket under the bulb ? Two or one filaments ?
If you have two wires, each wire should enlighten a part of the bulb when you put it at a battery + body on the battery mass .

Carello code for Junior Z are 11.536.000-11.537.000 (complete assembly) and 11.534.716-11.535.716 (lens). The picture looks identical to the lamp mounted on my car. Two filaments + ground on body

Thanks for that information.
So that's clear, the Junior Z front lights are the 11.536.000-11.537.000, the same numbers as for the 2000 & 2600 Sprints.
