What's the purpose of these hoses? Does fuel go thru these lines? What are the correct replacements? They look and feel like some sort of a vacumn line vs. a fuel line.

they are the idle air hoses, idle is adjusted at the block they connect to. idle air bypass I think they are called.

Those are idle air tubes. At idle, the throttle butterflies should be completely closed and ALL air for the engine passes through those tubes. There's an adjuster in the idle air distribution tower on top of the manifold.

Vacuum tubing works fine as replacement tubing.

their more of an air line than a fuel line, no reenforcement or cords. should be able to get at any autoparts store. if you need the idle adjust block, I have one, my 74 has carbs and some po left it on.

Thanks Cliff but I just need to replace the hoses cause one's cracked where it goes in. Just wanted to know before I placed o another) an order with IAP.
