Hi
I am looking for a Speedo Drive for my 1960 101 Spider. Does anyone know where I could find one?
Thanks
Michael

Mike, the speedo drive is paired up with the final drive of the rear differential and fork drive gear. The ratios are specific for each set. The most common rear end on Normales is a 4.56 : 1 or 9/41..The ring gear should have that number stamped on the ring visible through the filler hole of the differential in most cases as you spin the gear. If the transmission came with the car it would take a speedo drive stamped "9/21" on the gear.

Check this out and report back. I probably have the right one for you
unless it is a Veloce (10/41) which I no got. Uncle

Uncle hi
Many thanks for your reply. I am sure that 9/21 is what I need. My car didn't have a drive when I bought it but my friend has a similar car which he is restoring, 1960 101 Spider, not Veloce. His drive is 9/21 and it fits in my car.

Let me know if you can help?

Best regards
Michael

Suggest you ask again for a piece marked "9/21" .. There must be some lurking in Australia with this nomenclature which is the most common for a 4.56 rear end. Mine are all 8/21.
