Just a thought - is there any way for the admins to give deletion privileges to a small number of trusted users? This could greatly reduce the amount of time which spam is visible on the BB, and if stuff is getting deleted quickly the spammers will not be encouraged to post more.

I don't know if this is currently possible with the BB software, though.

It's not a limitation of the software. It's a matter of trust, since allowing deletion of any post other that your own amounts to granting a function (privilege, if you will) that is usually reserved for site administrators. Don't get me wrong, I think this is an excellent suggestion, particularly for a site where spammers can register any id and post at no cost...
