Who on this forum is familiar with South African assembled cars? My latest acquisition, a Giulia Sprint GT AR753638 Tipo 10504 according to Fusi is a 1966 CKD and there is a plate showing that it was assembled by Car Distributors, East London. Plate shows C.D.A. 96161. However the bumpers which I believe to be original have overriders, and the interior arm rests are different to ones I view on the internet. Also, there is no engine number stamped on the normal place and the cylinder head does not have the usual casting mark indicating that it is a 1600 head. There is no marking other than a small circle with a dot in the centre. I would appreciate any comments. I plan to tear it down for a complete rebuild and will post some pics of it early in the new year.

That would be me, I have a '64 Sprint GT AR751969 in my collection. No over riders, I suspect those were owner additions

I've sent you a private message with my email addy so you can send me more details
