Quick question, do any of you know where I can find a rebuildable hydraulic timing belt tensioner?
I am not terribly fond of the mechanical unit, and it seems that they are often prone to failure if not installed properly (which scares me).
I know alfa stopped using the hydraulic unit years ago due to oil leakage... But the rebuild kits are fairly cheap, and it seems easier to rebuild the tensioner at every timing belt change.. than to worry if the mechanical one will corrode, or be over torqued by a mechanic..
My 164 is coming due to replace the timing belt in 10XXX miles e.g. it just hit 20XXX since I did it last... and I wanted some opinions.
