Lock-down pushed me into sorting out the pathetic drip of water which comes out of the windscreen washers when the floor mounted pump is pressed.
The wipers worked fine but no water came out of the washer jets. So I removed the pump and checked out the plastic pipes which I could access. Traced the problem to the pipe hidden under the front grill at the rear of the bonnet. A bugger to get at so I removed the jets and blew air through the pipe via a tyre inflator. Bingo all the crud came out and with cleaned up jets all now works fine. Made lock-down a bit more acceptable. Only problem is I can't drive the car here in Portugal yet but at least another problem solved!

Spot on! It was only a little annoying thing as I never drive the Spider in wet weather here in Portugal but very satisfying to get things right! Also just about my level of mechanical expertise! I leave stripping engines etc to my mechanic!!
