So I have decided to replicate some more parts. I am not sure how this will pan out yet but I am working with a rubber/silicone manufacturer in the UK to reproduce all the 164 air boots, L to S to 24V in a better longer lasting material. I am also looking at reproducing the LS intake runner boots as well.

Since I have the 24V boot already, I may hit that long lost S boot. Would folks be interested in these items if I made them in a good quality rubber or even silicone?

Another question! Would you want it to look factory or that does not matter? I myself am a slight purist so I prefer it to look factory.

Let me know as I will try to accommodate your opinions in this venture.

I am also searching for a new sway bar builder. ADDCO really ruined the sway bar production for me. So I am back to square one!

Thanks!

That would be amazing, and I would be so grateful, if there was a high-quality replica of the air boot!! The one on my '94 Q has a crack in it, and I am working on fixing it right now... but, I think this original air boot is pretty high quality and solid! I don't know how it ever cracked.

The current replica, on the other hand, is AWFUL. It is cheaply made, and makes a horrible whistling sound, no matter what! Notice on the original, how the two small hose connections are, on the inside, nicely scalloped. On the replica, there were just a couple of small holes that looked like they were poked out with a phillips head screwdriver, and there was a thin flappy molding that had to be removed. The mold lines on the outside are also huge. And it's too brittle and flimsy overall. OK, rant over!

Anyway.... if there was a replica like the original, that would be so great! I don't even care how much it would cost.
