Hi Guys,

I've posted here a couple of times, but never started a thread on my car.

The car is a 1978 Alfetta GTV which was bought locally here in Malta.

The body has been re-sprayed but never fully torn apart so engine bay and underside will eventually need doing.

The car runs and has been used in the past 2 years, but I think its time to start sorting out the bits on it.

Is this pipe original?

Since the body has been restored, the underside and mechanical areas need work.

Would anyone be able to tell me if this pipe is original and where it should go to?

Mine is just pointing downwards towards the ground.

Black plastic corrugated pipe? It's the vent drain pipe, should be tucked back against the firewall...but hard to tell from your pics.

Broomstick is not OEM.........

That's the one!

Is the black corrugated pipe original ?

Looks Like I will need a replacement as mine is cracked.

Broomstick works a lot better than the actual bonnet support ;)

Will try and source a replacement and tuck it behind the engine pointing down towards the ground.

mystery hose

The cowl drain hose?
On my US, left drive, car it exits the cowl pointing to the right/passenger side. Probably it would interfere with your master cyl so it may exit straight out.
???????????????????
OOPS, I ment Clutch Cyl.

mine is pointing down towards the road (I pulled it up to take a photo of the pipe), master cylinder is on the other side of the car so no issues there.

Was just wondering if the style of pipe is original, as I am hoping on finding a replacement.

Car is Euro Spec in RHD
