The 1750 GTV could race under FIA rules with aluminum doors and boot lid. This part could have been in the Alfa Romeo factory aluminum package you could install on your 1750 GTV and race it under under FIA rules of 1st Jan 1970 and have them installed to run in FIA Group 2 in 1970/71. The 1750 GTV was allowed to have aluminum doors and boot lid in one of two ways. The first way was to use any 1750 GTV LHD car (starting from body number AR 1350001) or 1750 GTV RHD car (starting from body number AR 1450001) and then use homologation FIA 1565 Group 2 plus the FIA rules of 1st Jan 1970.
The start body numbers LHD AR 1350001 or RHD AR 1450001 means you could upgrade your pre 1970 GTV (1750) to race in 1970/71 with aluminum doors and boot lid.
The second way was to use any 1750 GTV USA LHD car (starting from body number AR 1350001) that had been homologated as a GTAm and this time use the homologation FIA 1576 Group 2 variation 3/2V and have them installed to run in FIA Group 2 in 1970/71.

In 1972 if racing under full FIA rules the GTVs cars were not allowed to use aluminum doors and boot lid.

Interesting offer. Mines '71 track day 1750 GTV with a 2L transplant. The boot transplant would lighten the car, but do you know if aluminum hoods for the engine compartment are also available? I ask because the weight bias is in the front.

The differences are first of all external. Different holes for the different lettering. Some have an Alfa logo in the middle, others do not. On the inside, the trunk lids for the stepnoses have a recess for the glued-in rubber seal, which is put on the edge of the trunk on the later models.

"3", that's really nice, but it's for a step nose. Mines a '71. The red/green paint mimics a step nose, but it's not.
