Long time Alfa fan here, recently sold the 4C I owned and am looking for a simpler, classic Alfa. I am looking for either a boat tail (1966-1969) or a series 4 Spider Veloce (91-94). The vehicle must be as original as possible and am looking for something nicer than driver class ( i.e. a #2 car).. I am willing to pay a premium for the right vehicle. If anyone has any information or leads, it would be much appreciated.

The S4 is a nice running and riding car. Great choice, I hope you don’t miss the 4 C too much.

Good luck on the hunt.

If you’re looking for TRULY, classic and simpler, I just shipped a 1960 2000 off to Bonhams in Scottsdale for their auction next week.

PM or email me if you want more images or information.

There’s a beautiful looking S1 going up for auction at Gooding in Scottsdale. It looks to be better than a number 2 car. I have a ‘66 Duetto myself and it’s just a fantastic car. Highly recommended!

Thanks for the update. I am aware of that beautiful Ivory S1, estimated pricing will be 80-100K as concours and likely out of my price range. It is " no reserve" though........ tempting but not sure I want to spend the $250 bidder pass just to get outbid quickly.

That makes sense. I can’t believe that they’ll really get anywhere near that estimate though. The no reserve is smart. Good luck tracking down your car!

It’s a little hard to tell without actually seeing it in person. 50-60k. Maybe? The classic car market is soft right now. Anything below top tier cars aren’t selling quickly. I’ll be curious to see what this car fetches.

Boat tails are all over and really need a ppi to be accurate. They can be 25k-45k right now. Should go up with temps and economy? idk. S4 spiders are 7500-15k (for a great one) I have a 91 Silver Spider and have considered selling it to help fund my 59 Spider. Its maintained continually and has fresh interior, paint, rebuilt engine with less than 10k miles on it, fresh rubber on aftermarket wheels and brembo brakes. Alfaholics suspension, tuned and dialed in perfectly. No issues. Orig wheels are on my shelf. If interested, pm me.
