Hey Alfisti, I have purchased a top seal from Classic Alfa, along with a new channel. The problem is two fold..
1) the PO had no channel in place, the old weather strip was glued in ,so I am not sure where that channel sits.
2) the seal doesn't fit too good in the channel-its too wide.
I riveted the channel in where i thought it should sit, managed to get the seal to sit in the channel-after many an italian curse, and it seems that the seal doesn't line up very well with the top of the windscreen. The top will not clamp down.

Does anyone have any close up pics of the strip in place, to perhaps give me a starting point? I have also tried remounting the channel, to no avail. I am afraid that the seal itself is too bulky?
Has anyone used this seal before? Any suggestions would be great..

The rubber seal will appear to be too wide, but it will fit in the channel. Use some silicon or soapy water to help ease it in the channel. Make sure that the rivets/screws do not stick up blocking the seal from sliding in. When feeding the seal into the channel, it helps to stretch the seal lengthwise while pulling it though, which makes it somewhat skinnier. It's really a two man operation. Pull it through rather than pushing it through, which tends to cause the rubber to bunch up entering the channel. Here's a couple pictures. One is of the old seal being removed. You can see the position of the channel. There should be holes already in the front bow that positions the channel.

The second picture is of the new seal installed. Note that it takes up the whole section of the top bow that rests on the top of the windscreen.
