Has anyone had any expierence using Silicone brake fluid for the clutch. I am going to change my clutch M.C. and slave and was wondering about using Silicone instead of the glycol. I have done thei for the brake system and it worked out well. The pedal may not be as hard but for my use, not racing, it's great I don't have to change it and don't have worry about the paint and rust. I would appreiciate any feedback.

i think silicone fluid would work well for the clutch, but as for the brakes.. dot 4 reg. fuild would work better...even if you flushed the reg. fuild out of the brake lines, some might remain.. and brake fuild absorbes water, so any fuild( old) left over, might start to rust the line out from the insde - out...i belive the only way to flush ALL the old brake fuild out of you brake lines, would be with compressed air,,lots of it.. perhapes , N2 blow out would be better, as the N2 carries no water, very dry. this would take all the moister out.
