She's back...

I posted a version of this in the Milano/75 forum but it should also really be in this one...

Finally, after months of waiting my little Italian pain in the posterior is back in my garage...

What feels like an age ago I collected a T/S gearbox and diff from Phil Mac (cheers Phil, I'll bring coffee next time!) with a plan of giving Il Monstro a bit of a make-over.... I planned on this one being a quick job but I really should have known better, after all I've owned my money pit for 7 years.

After the box and diff were pulled apart I set about collecting bits from various places across the planet, including Australia, the US, Germany, the UK and here in NZ... so it could be put back together again... the way it came out of the factory!

I drove the car for the first time yesterday and I still haven't stopped smiling... The LDS is a great match for the car ... I think I'm going to enjoy this!

Now I just need to get it through the WOF which it failed today on a torn steering rack boot of all things!

I can't thank Pete and Wynn at the Italian Job in Glenfield enough for the work done... Cheers guys!

The next project is unfortunately going to have to wait for Jim K's book!

Exellent news. Bring car and coffee, I would be keen to have a shifty. I am without a runner at present. Azzob has taken off with my baby, so now I'll have to get onto the LE. BTW Saw a seat on tradme that was identical to the LE recaros, and it was out of a cifiro(nissan thing )
Phil
Cheers Phil...

I know it's never going to happen but if you ever give up on the LE I'd be keen to to take the interior off your hands!

Coffee's on me! :D
Cheers Phil...

Funnily enough I offered to do the same and Phil said no...

BTW Phil the 75 is making converts of everyone who drives in it. Seems no-one ever drives properly set up rear wheelers anymore. I even managed to chirp the rear tires in 2nd outside work today:D

All the best, Aaron
I have been trying to think of a suitable answer to the audacity of the suggestion that I part out my LE.... the cheek! bleep bleep bleep.
Anyway Aaron I told you those tyres were a bit iffy. Also a man of your standing in the area you live shoud not be creating a scene by "chirping" your tyres in public.:p
I thought that might get a rise out of you...:D

I think I've got enough parts in my cave... It looks a bit like your place at the moment :p

Phil the 75 is making converts of everyone who drives in it.
...

Not sure he needs to convert me to the joys of 75 ownership :D

Coffee meeting?
Coffee meeting?

I'm in Meadowbank, Phil is in Pukekohe, where are you Mike?
Saturday afternoons are generally good for me.
Not a long way from you!
How would next Saturday work for you? In the afternoon, I wouldn't mind a quick blat down to Pukekohe, esp if the weather is good, to see Phil. If you are free I'll give him a call and maybe meet at his for a coffee/chat etc?

Aaron
Sound's like a plan...

... hopefully the shiny new synchros will have loosened up a bit by then
ok I'll phone Phil and get back to you.
Recaro interior...

Phil...

Your interior is secure... Bought the one that was on TM last week :D

Should catch up for another 75 get together...

Mike
