I have 2 seats available for the Oct 17-18 ChumpCar event.

The car is a well sorted 1978 Alfetta, with predictable and neutral handling. It is an easy car to drive fast and should be capable of 3:05 laptimes in the bend configuration.

If I can round up a total of 4 drivers your $700 fee will get you approx. 90 mins of seat time each day, fuel and incidentals, 3 meals on Saturday, 2 on Sunday, and all the racing lies you can stand.

Drivers are expected to listen to the coach, obey the rules of the road and have fun. You are not expected to believe any of the racing lies.

I would love to do this as Road America is a track I would like to try. Unfortunately, I can't afford the time to go in October.
I am curious, what does one need on their "racing resume" to join you? I have been vintage racing for about 3 years with 4-6 events/year.

I started this with exactly ZERO wheel to wheel experience, and had limited (routine maintenance) experience with Alfas. Anyone with Alfa racing experience is qualified for sure!

Chumpcar usually does a spring event (April) at RA as well, and I may need a driver then too.

RA ride

I too am interested in a ride at RA since as you know this on my bucket list of tracks to run. How is the weather in the spring?

Weather in the spring is highly variable but we have been pretty lucky. Overnight lows down to near 30, highs 50-60. Spring usually has fewer entries also. We'd be glad to have you! I'll check with you in February.

Please do!! I'm already thinking I'll pass on the March Sears Point Lemons race to so I can run RA. Since our team right now is 7 drivers and only one car we all pick and chose the events we want to run.
