Anyone knows how long the antenna cable is
I need to replace my antenna and when I looked at the cable I had the feeling that the cable goes up to the radio
Am I wrong or is changing the antenna a fairly big job

All you need is to cut the cable and resolder connector you can buy it at radio shack new antenna will come with male connector.

antenna replacement/antenna lead

The cable attached to the antenna on my S4 goes up behind the carpet panel where the jack is and there it plugs into a longer cable that goes up to the radio. I recently replaced my antenna with an afternarket one (I can get you the info if you want it) that fit under the fender and had a long enough lead to plug into the connector as I described. Very straighforward. There is not much space under the fender, next to the battery and also kindo of snaking around the cable that gos to the positive battery terminal, but all in all not very difficult.
