I've never looked at them that way, but now I feel I must. I'm picturing a scene on the beach in "South Pacific" (you got to be old to remember) of some of the sailors wearing grass skirts and "coconut shells" for tops and they are dancing to music from the region. Now I see Brewster Thackery, who reminds me of one of the sailors wearing a pair of the cones from an Alfa Spider.
Alternatively we could begin using them for sound effects, as in "Monty Python's horses riding across the stage"
