Hi out there in ALFAghanistan,

Winter and mud season have passed, and I'm off teaching duty for the summer now... So, if you need any parts for your GTV6s, I have a couple of bone cars as organ donors for my own needs, and others. Terminal rust got one/ a drunken jay-walking moose took out the other.

Stating the obvious: some body and interior bits will work on Alfetta Coupes, and much of the mechanical parts (motor/ transaxle/ suspension) should work on Milanos.

So for you ALFAholics, with an Alfetish, i might have most of the stuff you need to keep your ride on the road. I'm up in Vermont, but have shipped GTV6 parts all over the planet. Let me know if I can be of help.

Cheers,
Peter

Peter, (I may have asked before...) I am seeking the metal framed rubber boot for the shift lever - the one that is either screwed or riveted to the tunnel (below the plastic center console & shift gaiter).

Hi Eric,

Since those potential parts will be down in my remote stash (2 hr round trip), I refreshed my ad to get some nibbles to make it worth the trip. Thanks for helping to extend my list.

I have a couple of shots at finding a decent one. I believe those are pop riveted, and come off from the interior (not from the underside). Does that sound right? I expect to get down to do some scavenging within a week, or so. I'll check and give you a report on my findings. Any other bits, while I'm at it?

Best to connect directly via e-mail... just easier for me to keep requests organized. Thanks,
Peter

Would you have a complete driveshaft for GTV6? (Milano is longer)

I have the front flywheel coupling and all the rubber couplings (guibos). I bent mine when I had to fight the rusted spline joint taking it out. 30 thou worth of runout = lots of vibes.

Shipping would be to 93704...Fresno, Ca.

Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott,

I have 2 that are pretty easy to access (already off cars). And 2 others still on cars (one car was presented on a fork lift, so I think we should write that one off on still being straight). I presume the 2 easy ones are straight, but I have no way of proving that.

Why don't you hit me at my direct address ([email protected]), and I can send you a pic of the one that's very close by. You can let me know if that looks complete for your needs. If not, I can grab the second 'removed' one to see if that has more with it.

Cheers,
Peter

I need a decent windshield for my 82 GTV6. Got anything?

Sam
Hi Sam,

I do have one windshield that has some wiper blush, keeping it from being perfect. Probably best for someone with a racer. The price would be right, tho.

But since I'm in Vermont and you are in Oregon... you wouldn't be able to fully assess if it worked for your goals until it arrived. If you were closer, it might make sense to come check it over. Mine is either clear or amber tint... not the green tint version. And it does not have the antenna built into the glass.

Any other GTV6 bits I can check on for you?

Peter,

For the right price, I would still be interested in the windshield you are describing. You see, mine is in terrible shape, with a huge crack that goes almost from top to bottom. I just want something decent with no serious structural issues; something that I can just drive around in and not worry about shattering all the time. I realize shipping would be a lot of extra money, but I may still be interested, depending on total price.

Let me know what you think,
Sam

Hi Sam,

Let's connect directly. Much easier for me to keep track of things.

The wiper blush I think would not show up so much as a bother in the daylight. But at night, might give a frosted effect, along that arc. Let me check it over tomorrow, and take some pix to show. I'll need to remind myself whether that's in the driver's line of sight, or on the P-side. It was out of a 1983 GTV6, with rubber gasket securement.

Shipping may be the only issue. Too bad you weren't within driving range. We can check into the best shipping options, and see. Any other GTV6 bits while we're at it?

Cheers, Peter

Hi Sam,

I've taken some pix of the GTV6 windshield to show you. But I can't find an e-mail message from you to reply to. That may be in my inbox somewhere, and I'm just having trouble finding it.

Can you e-mail me, or post with your e-mail address? Then I can send those off to you as attachments. Thanks.

Cheers,
Peter

Hi All,

I was finally able to find a day with no rain to make a raid on my remote ALFA stash. All of you that have contacted me with parts requests should have heard back from me about my discoveries. There were only a couple of bits that I was unable to snag. I even came back with a few Holy Grail items!

If you haven't heard back from me on that... please hit me with an e-mail reminder. I've tried to stay organized, but sometimes the Space Cadet takes over.

[email protected]

Thanks,
Peter

Planet,

Got your PM. Just to make sure we're on the same page, these are what I need.
GTV6 headlight bezel.JPG
The bezel must have the "ear/wing" or hook tabs in place and not bent back too much (that's how I broke one of mine).

Carpet pieces.

Yup... those are the two parts I had pix to show you.

I have a few of the headlight rings in good shape (as described in PM). You just needed one, correct?

On my two trunk liners, I'm clear on which section. Since I have two, in varying condition, you may have to choose based on price. If you'd like to see pix of each, do you have a friend I could e-mail representative fotos to, for you to review?

If you've already made a decision on the above, I'll need your mailing address to check into S&H.

Any other GTV6 bits, while I'm looking?

Peter

list to grow but

81 GTV6

drivers door handle paddle black
air intake box

Steve
Hi Steve,

Did you need the interior door paddle, or exterior? D-side, or P-side?

I'll have to go check my stash to see what all I have for air intake boxes. Did you need a complete one... the lower half, or just the upper half?

Best to connect directly... Thanks.
